Additional Info

How long have you been doing pyrography?
Since 1996, so nearly 20 years.

How were you introduced to pyrography?
I was taught to do pyrography in woodwork in high school.

What is your favorite pyrography piece?
In 2002 I burnt a 1 1/2 metre round piece of American Buckey, which had a natural hole in the centre, with fairies and mushrooms, called 'Fairy Haven'.

Do you draw the design onto the wood first?
Yes, I draw onto the wood first using the grains of the wood to help me come up with the pictures.

What kind of tool do you use?
I use a tool called Ironcore, which is the Mercedes Benz of pyro pens. I have had it since 1996 and it has not missed a beat!
